How to care for your nudge bar
Quality nudge bars maintain their shine and great looks for many years with just a little care. The below guide will help you maintain the finish and condition of your nudeg bar for years to come.
Warm water and sunlight liquid with a soft cloth or sponge. Routine cleaning repeated for a few days, will also address any superficial staining.
Avoid regular Jiff (with the exception of Jiff Cream). Handy Andy, Engine Cleaner and any metal based cleaning products.
Oil and Grease:
Remove heavy debris with a high pressure cleaner or garden hose, then wash with a mild detergent and warm water.
- For rust spots created by a frag-ment or ordinary steel becoming embedded in the surface (identified by a "halo" around the affected area) pat with a 10% solution of nitric acid on a softcloth or cotton bud, repeat until removed.
- Hard rubbing will be required for sever stains, use a fine househodl abbrasicve (nylon scouring pad) and 10% nitric acid, Acid treatments must be followed by rinsing in ammonia or soda bicarbonate solution.
- Be careful when using Acid or Ammoniam avoid contact, if accidenrtal contact does occur then rinse immediately and soak in ammonian or soda bicarbonate solution, followed by normal cleaning.
